EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS- E1 to Level 1
Employability Skills qualification are designed to support an individual successfully see employment, progress in their field, prepare for further study and support the development of the skills required for successful independent living.
These qualifications are aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in their employment prospects; find voluntary work, apply for a job, get a job, develop while on the job and make progress along the career ladder.
The qualifications have been designed in collaboration with experts from various industries, training providers and employment and recruitment professionals to ensure the content matches what is needed and valued by today’s employment market, as well as meeting the needs for study programmes and Traineeships.
What Can Employability Do For You?
- Certificate and Diploma in Employability Skills – Entry 1 to Level 1
- Provide the candidate with the knowledge, skills and understanding to enter into the labour market
- Develop and provide the individual with the necessary key skills for example, interview techniques, self-employment, team building etc.
- Develop their personal qualities, social skills and transferable skills to successfully perform well in the workplace
The course will cover:
- Communication Skills
- Teamwork
- Problem Solving
- Improve initiative & Enterprise
- Planning & Organising skills
- Enhance learning skills
Who is Eligible
The courses are fully funded for those who are:
- In receipt or claiming JSA/ESA/Universal Credit & Income Support
- Aged 21+
- Employed and earning less than £15,736.50 annual gross salary
Coupled with the generic employability skills such as CV writing, cover letters, application forms and interview techniques.
The course will be classroom based with lots of practical elements coupled with the opportunity (Diploma) to produce a enterprise project.
Certificate in Employability Skills
- 3 – 5 days a week
- 3 hours a day
- Sessions 9-12/12-3/3-6
- Length of programme 7-9 weeks
Diploma in Employability Skills
- 3 – 5 days a week
- 3 hours a day
- Sessions 9-12/12-3/3-6
- Length of programme 12-19 weeks
- No formal qualification ar required, just a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A recognised qualification from City and Guilds Awarding Body
- Skills that will help you progress to a higher level
- The ability to communicate effectively in the community and in everyday life
